To celebrate the day of love while capturing the eternal romance of the River of Kings, the Peninsula Bangkok presents Luxe & Amour Champagne Valentine's Day Cruise on Feb 14.
The experience offers guests an afternoon voyage on-board a 23m luxury yacht along the Chao Phraya River complemented by Champagne and personalised fine chocolates. The trip is followed by an afternoon tea affair handcrafted for the special occasion by the hotel's French executive pastry chef, Nicolas Pelloie, in the Peninsula lobby. Delicacies include red velvet cake, lychee marshmallow and strawberry rose tart, as well as a fine selection of savoury items.
For couples wishing for more intimacy, the hotel offers a private Champagne sunset cruise in the evening, followed by an exquisite six-course dinner in the Paribatra lounge on the 37th floor.
The meal is curated by executive chef Dominique Martinez and executive sous chef Alvaro Roa at Paribatra, and features items such as carpaccio of Hokkaido scallops with coriander pesto, hazelnut and rosemary dust; classic lobster Thermidor with butter-black truffle pappardelle; and a chocolate-themed dessert. The sky-high dinner is enhanced by a spectacular fireworks show above the river.
The 80-minute Luxe & Amour Champagne Valentine's Day Cruise on the afternoon of Feb 14, followed by a Valentine's-inspired afternoon tea, is priced at 25,888 baht net per couple. Or 30,888 baht net per couple, inclusive of an international buffet dinner, at River Cafe & Terrace.
The private Champagne sunset cruise followed by an exquisite six-course dinner (available for one couple only) is priced at 88,888 baht net per couple, or 188,888 baht net per couple with firework display.
