Here’s where to search for 7 floating Lightning Bolts in ‘Fortnite: Battle Royale.’

Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Season 5 just kicked off. With it comes another week of challenges, though this Season the first 3 challenges are for everyone, while the final 4 are for Battle Pass owners exclusively, a change from previous seasons.

One of the new challenges this week is to search 7 Floating Lightning Bolts across the map—which has seen some big changes in Season 5 including a new desert biome and two new Named Locations: Lazy Links, a golf course replacing Anarchy Acres; and Paradise Palms, a new urban location where Moisty Mires used to be, smack-dab in the middle of the desert.

In any case, these Floating Lightning Bolts are scattered across—and above—the map. Rather than just running up and searching these items, you’ll need to build in order to reach each one. They sit way up above the ground. I’ve scouted out seven locations, and I’ll update these posts as more come in. First off, here’s a handy map:

Locations (So Far):

1. In Paradise Palms on the western edge right next to the lone skyscraper.
2. West of Tomato Town north of the plateau above the river.
3. In the western residential section of Retail Row, right in the middle.
4. Right in the dead-center of Tilted Towers.
5. Hovering up above the middle of Greasy Grove.
6. Above the water just off the north dock in Loot Lake.
7. Right above the center of Dusty Divot, which is now overgrown with trees.
8. Where the rift swallowed the motel sign to the west of what was formerly Anarchy Acres.
9. Right by the tower in Lonely Lodge.
10. Near the factory in Flush Factory.
11. By the Evil Lair to the northeast of Snobby Shores.
12. Just to the northwest of Wailing Woods in the hilly area.
13. To the north of Junk Junction above the Llama.
14. Above the Temple to the northeast of Lucky Landing.

I’ll continue to add locations and screenshots to make finding these easier. The trick is looking up—you won’t see these on the ground. So you’ll need to be aware of vertical spaces and then build up. I’m sure we’ll find more of these scattered across named an unnamed locations so keep me posted if you find one and I’ll add it to this post.
