Where to meet (and learn how to train) dinosaurs this half-term just a short drive from Nottingham

Learn how to train a 'real' moving dinosaur, brave a raptor enclosure and pan for fossils at a Jurassic pop-up landing for half term just a short drive from Nottingham.

A life-like T-Rex and Velociraptor will be amongst the pre-historic beasts taking over the National Forest Adventure Farm, in Burton on Trent, from May 25 - June 2.

As well as being on the prowl around the farm waiting to meet visitors, there will also be interactive dinosaur training shows and a Raptor Run enclosure where families must evade the Velociraptor to retrieve a dinosaur egg from the nest.

For younger visitors, baby dinosaur Roxie the Raptor will be putting on a show and little ones can join in.

There’s also the option to pan for real dinosaur fossils and gems.

Around the farm, families can meet and feed the animals plus watch the sheep get their annual haircuts in a shearing demonstrations. The outdoor adventure play area includes the brand new musical maze where six different instruments are hidden in wooden labyrinth.

Inside, there's a huge soft play area where children (and adults) can take on three Demon Drop slides.
