Where to give in the season of giving

New Year is approaching and it's time to declutter your old, unused stuff at home to make way for something newer, fresher and better in 2019.

Facebook page Buddha Dham Nam Jai puts together 17 locations across the country where the donation of second-hand clothes is more than welcome. At these places, unused stuff will become valuable again as it will be sorted and distributed to the needy and impoverished, young and old.

Here are some of the places where clothes can be donated.

- The Mirror Foundation, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Bangkok

The Mirror Foundation accepts second-hand clothes as part of its project "Sharing for Change" where stuff will be delivered to slums as well as disaster victims in many provinces. Some of the donated clothes will be used for fund-raising activities at Baeng Pan Shop located inside the foundation.

- Wat Phra Baht Nam Phu, Muang district, Lop Buri

Wat Phrabat Nampu is a shelter for HIV/Aids-infected patients.

- Luangta Noi Foundation, Buddha Monthon district, Nakhon Pathom

Luangta Noi Foundation helps provide support to orphans, people with disabilities and needy people in society. The foundation was established in 2015 with an objective to turn driven people into talented ones so that they can contribute to society.

- Baannokkamin Foundation, Seri Thai Road, Bangkok

Baannokkamin Foundation is a shelter for orphans, street kids and impoverished children.

- Pankan Society by Yuvabadhana Foundation, Srinakarin Road, Bangkok

Pankan Society collects all used items and sells them on for others to use at its stores which are throughout Bangkok such as at Paradise Park, The Nine Rama IX, Seacon Square Srinakarin, Seacon Bangkae, Future Park Rangsit, Tesco Lotus Rama I, Robinson Srisamarn, CentralPlaza Lardprao and Supreme Complex.
