What is the Sewer Key in Schedule 1?
In Schedule 1, the Sewer Key is the only way to access the network of underground manholes and doors added to Hyland Point.
From the first time you boot up the game or load a new save, you’ll notice every sewer entrance is securely locked until you track down this vital item.
How to get the Sewer Key in Schedule 1
There are three ways of getting the Sewer Key in Schedule 1:
Buying the Sewer Key
The most straightforward way is to purchase the key from Jen Heard. This city clerk is located in Uptown, east of Hyland Medical. The key costs $1,000, guaranteeing access instantly.
What you must do is build a friendly relationship with Jen, which unlocks after reaching Uptown and making progress in the main story.

Pickpocketing from NPCs
Another option is to pickpocket the key from a select group of NPCs. The downside to this method is that only one of them will randomly possess the key in your save file.
The pro to pickpocketing is that you can do it early in the game, and it doesn’t require story progression. Still, your chances improve with boosting drugs that enhance the Sneaky attribute (combine Paracetamol with energy drinks or base drugs for the effect).
Knocking out NPCs can also make them easier targets for pickpocket attempts, and Oscar provides hints about possible NPC holders once you unlock and reach the warehouse.
World key spawn points
The Sewer Key may spawn randomly across 50 possible locations. The key emits a faint glow at night, which makes nighttime searching more efficient for sharp-eyed players.
Northtown, Downtown, and the graveyard are three areas with frequent spawn points. So, you must look out for those places to find the key. When it comes to the last two methods, acquiring the Sewer Key comes down to luck and persistence.
