The Courtyard Key is needed to access the door near Shu Sanctum in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. You will find valuable loot behind the door.
While progressing with the story, you will encounter several doors requiring keys. The Shu Sanctum is one such door in the Worship’s Rise, an optional area to explore. You get the required key from an NPC, and here’s everything you need to know about getting the key.
Courtyard Key location in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
The Courtyard Key can be found in the Bamboo Courtyard, an area near the Courtyard door in Shu Sanctum in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
It’s fairly simple to get hold of the key, but since it’s a Soulslike game, there will be some challenges in the form of facing enemies and killing them, and interacting with an NPC.
How to get the Courtyard Key
Once you reach the Shu Sanctum, look for the locked Courtyard door (the leftmost one). This is the one you will need to open. Now, take the path nearby, and you will end up near a split road; you have to take the left route.
Doing that will lead you to the Bamboo Courtyard. Head over to the area, clear all the enemies, and interact with the NPCs behind the locked doors. A young boy will be behind one of the doors; you have to select the “Agree to help” option. You’ll need to hand over the Dough Figurine of Yang Zongba, the charm that the boy gave his father before he left.
He will tell you his parents are missing, as his father went to look for his little brother and mother. Once you’ve agreed to help him, he will hand you the Courtyard Key. Now, take it back to the locked Courtyard door and open it.
You will face a few enemies on your way back to the door, but you don’t need to worry, as they’re pretty easy to beat.
What rewards do you get for opening the Courtyard door?
Once you open the Courtyard door and head inside, you will find a staircase to the left; take it and go to the second floor.
Head straight, and you will find a body lying on the ground with a glowing yellow light – click on the Pick up button, and you get:

- Dirty Militia Clothes
- Militia Vambraces
- Militia Shin Wraps
You will also find Wan’s Damaged Letter to her father in a room ahead, and Red Mercury Shoot from the same room.
