Chillet is one of the best early game Pals in Palworld 1.0 because it offers a fast mount both on land and water. It also boasts solid combat performance and useful Dragon damage conversion.
You can find the Level 11 Alpha Chillet early in the game near the Fort Ruins fast travel point and it can be an excellent first boss to challenge. With the right Fire-type Pal and a few Mega Spheres, you can quickly catch Chillet and unlock one of the strongest early-to-mid game mounts in Palworld 1.0.
Chillet location in Palworld 1.0
Chillet can be encountered as a Level 11 Field Alpha Boss located south of the Fort Ruins fast travel point, with these exact coordinates: 172, -417. Open the map and its icon should appear there.
Defeating Alpha Chillet for the first time rewards you with 1 Ancient Technology Point, Ancient Civilization Parts, Chillet Bounty Token, and +1280 EXP, along with standard items like Leather and Precious Pelt.
Although you can breed or find regular Chillet later, the Alpha version is the easiest guaranteed encounter early in your adventure.
How to defeat Chillet and catch it in Palworld 1.0
Chillet is an Ice/Dragon-type Pal, making it especially vulnerable to Fire-type attacks. I’d recommend bringing Foxparks as your primary combat Pal, along with a Daedream for extra damage, to defeat it early. Before taking on the fight, you can craft the Foxparks Harness at the Pal Gear Workbench to unlock its Huggy Fire Partner Skill, which allows you to equip your Foxparks like a flamethrower and deal continuous Fire damage, quickly wearing down Chillet’s health.
Once Huggy Fire goes on cooldown, allow your Foxparks to apply pressure while keeping your distance. I’d suggest attacking with a Bow to avoid Chillet’s Ice- and Dragon-type moves.
Continue dealing damage until its HP drops into the red zone, then throw a Mega Sphere. At this point, the capture rate can reach 100%, allowing you to catch Chillet without wasting additional Pal Spheres.
How to ride Chillet as mount in Palworld 1.0
After capturing Chillet, you can use it as your mount by crafting the Chillet Saddle. To craft it:
- Unlock Chillet Saddle from the Technology tab at Level 11 using 2 Ancient Technology Points.
-
Craft the saddle at your Pal Gear Workbench using the required materials:
- Leather x10, Fiber x20, Cloth x5, Paldium Fragment x20
- Equip the saddle and summon Chillet.
Chillet excels as an early-game mount because it can move efficiently on both land and water, allowing you to explore large areas without constantly switching between different mounts.
