Lead is easily the hardest mineral to find in Subnautica 2, particularly in the opening biome. Unlike Titanium, you won’t find it easily around your Lifepod. Since you need it to craft one of the most useful tools in the game, Sonic Resonator, it’s best to get your hands on it as soon as possible.
Thankfully, there’s one notable spot in the opening area of Subnautica 2 where you can find tons of Lead deposits. The good news is you don’t even need a special tool to gather. However, we do recommend crafting a handful of Distraction Flares as Marrowbeach and other fish roam in this area.
Best place to farm Lead in Subnautica 2

You can find the Lead farming spot roughly 300 meters northeast of the Lifepod. It’s just beneath the Lander Garage Cicada Wreck. Alternatively, if you have discovered Camp One, head approximately 150 meters southeast and into the depths.
There’s a water current flowing towards the west in the area. You can find the Lead deposits just below it. As mentioned above, there are several hostile fish nearby, including two Needler Mangos, so make sure to distract them with flares.

We also recommend bringing a Scanner, as it will allow you to scan Lead and craft Germanium Ingots via the Processor. And that’s pretty much it! There’s plenty of Lead here to craft the Sonic Resonator, as well as any other Lead-related items you may need to craft in the future.
What to craft with Lead in Subnautica 2?

In addition to the Sonic Resonator and Germanium Ingots, you can craft food items such as Sugar of Saturn, Cherimoya Chutney, and Pavlova. You can also use Germanium Ingots in the Processor to build Power Storage.
