Where To Eat On New Year's Eve In New York City

Le Coq Rico’s New Year’s goose


No plans for New Year’s Eve? These New York City restaurants still have reservations to help finish 2017 on a tasty note and kick off 2018 with high culinary expectations. Book a table at these new, acclaimed and beloved New York City spots to ensure you’re drinking Champagne somewhere special on December 31.

Cote

This trendy Korean steakhouse will have two New Year’s Eve seatings (6:00 p.m. for $175 & 9:00 p.m. for $275) for its ”Butcher’s Celebration.” The menu will include select steak cuts to grill at the table. Caviar, oysters, uni and truffles in various forms will also be served along with traditional Korean longevity noodles. White chocolate-raspberry swirl soft serve, and a surprise, will be served for dessert. The later seating will also include a Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu ribeye topped with a “snow” of white alba truffle.

Le Coq Rico

A five-course pre-fixe menu ($124) will kick off with twelve spice foie gras and a house-made baguette, followed by Blue Point Oysters with truffle butter and chicken broth. A frog leg soup will be followed by the main event, a stuffed goose served with potato gnocchi, sour cream and red cabbage. Dessert will be black truffle ice cream with Oreo crumble.

Hakkasan

A celebratory dim sum feast ($138) will include prawn dumplings, scallop shu mai with California caviar, roasted duck and truffle dumplings and a steamed sea bass roll. These will all be followed by tea-smoked pork ribs, stir-fried lobster, wok-seared tuna and more shareable dishes.

L’ATELIER de Joël Robuchon

In addition to the ala carte menu at the heavily acclaimed chef’s New York restaurant, a four course tasting menu ($185), seasonal discovery menu ($325) and vegetarian menu ($145) will all be available, along with additional wine pairings. Dishes will include white truffle spaghetti with a soft-boiled egg and parmesan, Long Island duck with kumquats confit and a filet de boeuf.

Zuma

For a party dining atmosphere, head to this club-like Japanese restaurant with seatings at 5:45 – 7:30 p.m. and 8:00- 10:30 p.m. A special omakase menu ($165/person) will include yellowtail sashimi with green chili relish, fried langoustines, ribeye with truffle sauce and black truffles and more.

Harold’s Meat + Three

This southern-style spot will be hosting a chicken and champagne party from 10 p.m.- 2 a.m., with all-you-can-eat buckets of fried chicken, along with sides, snacks, and bottomless pours of Veuve Clicquot. Tickets ($165) are now available on Eventbrite.

Vinateria 

Executive Chef Mimi Weissenborn created a special four-course menu to be served at two New Year’s Eve seatings(6:00 p.m., $75; 8:30 p.m., $95). The menu will include Italian and Spanish-inspired options link black spaghetti with octopus, mussels, scallops and breadcrumbs; wild boar osso bucco with corn pudding and cognac jus reduction; and limoncello crème brulee.
