Ireland’s bout of great weather is set to continue as the week goes on, ahead of stormy conditions setting back in.
Temperatures hit 25C today across the midlands, while elsewhere across the country they remained between 19C and 23C.
We’re in for a few more days of glorious weather, and so here is where the best of it will be experienced as well as when the showery conditions will be back.
Tuesday, September 7
Drivers are warned to be vigilant on Tuesday morning as foggy conditions kick off the day, bringing with it impaired visibility.
Whilst the mist and fog will fade away quite quickly, there will be mostly sunny conditions following, but coastal fog will linger along parts of the east and south.
It’s due to be very warm and humid with top temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees in the afternoon.

It’ll be hottest for the inland counties, with light southeast breezes, while the west and southwest are also in for some hot weather.
The North and East will hit highs of 23C and further south will remain at 22C.
Wednesday, September 8
The sunny weather will continue with another warm day expected on Wednesday, and while there will be some sunny spells, expect scattered showers too, with some turning heavier and more persistent later in the evening.
Highest temperatures will be between 20 and 24 degrees in a light to moderate southeast breeze.
The best of the heat will be felt across the midlands once again while the northwest are in for 24 degree heat as well.
Overnight then, the stormy conditions will begin to move in, and showers will become heavier and more widespread as the night goes on.
Thursday, September 9
The terrible weather will be back with a bang on Thursday, as widespread showers are expected to sweep across the country.
Some of these showers will turn heavy at times and there is potential for thunderstorms.

Temperatures will fall back slightly to between 18 to 21 degrees in a light southerly or variable breeze.
These showers will ease and become more scattered on Thursday night, with some dry and clear spells developing.
Friday, September 10
The current forecast for Friday is not as grim as seen on Thursday, and will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers.
The highest temperatures expected will be between 17 and 21 degrees.
The Irish forecaster predicts that the weekend will bring “a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers with temperatures generally in the high teens.”
