Where to buy the John Lewis Christmas jumper as featured in the advert

The John Lewis Christmas advert features an alien crash landing on Earth.

The alien gets help from a boy to experience Christmas for the first time and takes part in snowball fights and eats mince pies before a tearful farewell.

The advert, set to the soundtrack of Forever in Electric Dreams sung by London artist Lola Young, begins with a boy called Nathan discovering alien Skye, who shows interest in a Christmas jumper adorned with a tree, baubles and Christmas lights.

John Lewis is selling a version of Nathan’s Christmas jumper, with 10% of the profits from each jumper sold being equally shared out between their Give A Little Love charities (FareShare and Home-Start UK).

The jumper is priced from £14 to £18 for children and £29 for men's and women's versions but some sizes are already sold out.

The Christmas jumper on the John Lewis website is one of a number of new designs on sale for Christmas 2021. They include a snowy scene featuring bears, reindeer, polar bears and other festive scenes.

It is not the first time John Lewis has caused a scramble for festive items. 2012’s Christmas advert saw us follow a snowman’s mission to find the perfect Christmas present for his partner, set to a piano/vocal rendition of the Frankie Goes to Hollywood classic, “The Power Of Love”.

The following year, we saw the touching animated story of the friendship between a bear and a hare, accompanied by Lilly Allen’s moving cover of the Keane classic, “Somewhere Only We Know”.

Additionally, many people will remember the classic tale from 2015 (in partnership with the charity Age UK) of a young girl seeking to reach out to a lonely older gentleman living on the moon, featuring a cover of the Oasis classic ‘Half the World Away”.
