Where to buy hand sanitiser during the coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has seen a high demand for hand sanitiser, with some retailers placing limits on the amount each customer can buy.

With cases of Covid-19 on the rise in Britain, it's important to wash our hands regularly as well as use an alcohol-based hand rub.

According to data published by research company Kantar, supermarket sales of hand sanitiser rose by 255 per cent in February.

Which is why it might be hard to get hold of hand sanitiser in-store at shops like Boots and Superdrug.

If you can't seem to find any sanitiser at your local store, there are a number of options available online from retailers including Amazon and Superdrug. We've listed some options you can buy now below.

Superdrug

Carex Aloe Vera Anti-bacterial Hand Gel 300ml, £3.49

Made with soothing Aloe Vera, this fast-drying formula comes in a generous 300ml size that provides enough for the whole family.

Superdrug Strawberry & Rasberry Sanitizer Hand Gel, £1.25

We love the sweet fragrance of this alcohol-based hand gel, perfect for little ones and grownups alike.

Boasting a fruity fragrance, it claims to kill 99.9% of bacteria within seconds.

Lifebuoy Hand Hygiene Gel 500ml, £5.99

If you've got a family to look out for, then this generously-sized bottle of Lifebuoy hand sanitiser is ideal.

It also comes with a handy pump to make application quick and easy.

Some of Superdrug's hand sanitisers are only available to 'Order & Collect,' meaning shoppers can order them to a selected store. There are three Order & Collect options to choose from - including next day, within 30 minutes and within five working days.

Amazon

Not only does it boast a long-lasting scent, but also dries instantly on the skin without the need to rinse or rub hands excessively.

Coronavirus has officially been categorised as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke on March 12 outlining the ramp up in the UK’s response to the coronavirus crisis from 'containment' to the 'delay' phase.
