Bonfire Night is fast approaching and most of us are preparing to mark Guy Fawkes by putting on a spectacular fireworks display.
If you want your celebrations to go off with a bang, then you’ll need the right supplies.
Luckily for UK shoppers, local supermarkets have plenty of pocket-friendly deals on fireworks.
Here is our guide to the best from Aldi, Morrisons and more.
Remember: adult fireworks cannot to be sold to those under the age of 18. It is usually against the law to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, but Bonfire Night is one of the exceptions, when the cut off is midnight.
Aldi
At Aldi, prices start from an impressive £1.29 for a pack of 20 sparklers. Other great-value options include the ‘Big Show’ box (£19.99), which is filled with 54 colourful shots, and the ‘Wow’ box (£14.99) containing 16 pieces.
The entire range features 17 different fireworks and is available in-store only.
Asda
Prices start from 50p to £70. Fireworks can be purchased in bundles.
There is also a two-for-£20 offer: choose from the MonsterBox selection (17 pieces), the Massive Attack box (13 shots) or Air Assault rockets (9 pack). In-store only.
Morrisons
From Goliaths to Star Blazers, Morrisons is offering a whopping selection of fireworks in-store.
The cheapest option is the Titan Display pack (£20), which contains moon shadows, thunder storms and much more.
The supermarket is also running a 2 for £10 deal on pumpkin fountains, charming cascades (4 pack), atom boom shot tubes (5 pack) and midnight explorer rockets (5 pack).
Tesco
A selection of ‘family kits’ will be available in-store, with prices starting from £50. These bundles feature a range of classics from roman candles to moonlight sparklers.
Lidl
Lidl has a great fireworks range in-store with prices starting from £1.99. Fireworks come in packs of 12, 18 and 21 and each box comes with a selection of various pieces to ensure a stunning display.
The Weco Gothic Lights box (£7.99) contains 19 shots inclduing rising comet tails with giant bouquets in ruby red, emerald green and blinking silver.
