Where Titans are currently slated to pick in 2024 NFL draft

With the Tennessee Titans sitting at 2-4 going into their bye week and on track for yet another lost season, it’s time to start keeping an eye on where they might pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

According to Tankathon, the Titans currently hold the No. 8 pick in next year’s draft, three spots higher than where they picked in 2023 when they drafted offensive lineman Peter Skoronski at No. 11 overall.

While there is still time to turn things around, nothing we’ve seen from the inconsistent Titans suggests they’ll be capable of doing so. Making matters worse, quarterback Ryan Tannehill has a high-ankle sprain that will likely force him to miss multiple games.

Sure, Tannehill hasn’t been great by any stretch this season, but he still gives Tennessee the best chance to win until we see either Malik Willis or Will Levis prove otherwise.

As far as total picks in next year’s draft are concerned, it isn’t looking good for Tennessee.

The Titans have one pick each in the first, second and fourth rounds, and at least two in the seventh. Tennessee may have a third pick in the final round depending on what the conditions were in the Tyree Gillespie trade with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022.

Tennessee can acquire more picks for 2024 if they decide to become sellers at the trade deadline on Oct. 31 and part ways with some of their veterans that still have value.

But that would require the Titans bailing on the 2023 campaign in Week 9 when they still have a chance at the playoffs, something head coach Mike Vrabel is unlikely to want to do.
