The Castanet Club is remembered as a historic cultural landmark in Newcastle. So it really should have a street named after it.
Chit Chat Von Loopin Stab [aka Glenn Dormand from Waratah] said "this majestic group and venue have already had a film, recently an exhibition and even more recently a documentary dedicated to it".
"Have we done enough? No, we have not. It's time to change Burwood Street - the site of the former club - to Castanet Lane," Chit Chat said.
"Civic Park is now the cultural heart of Newcastle. The council has moved. Its old office is now a five-star hotel.
"City Hall is now a function centre that caters to everything from weddings to wrestling. Nesca House is now a university faculty dedicated to the arts.
"Throw in the art gallery, The Conservatorium, Civic Theatre, as well as New Annual and Olive Tree Markets that are housed in Civic Park.
"This is the future of Newcastle at its finest."
Burwood Street's name goes back to coal.
"Let's change the tiny street named after a coal mine to something that celebrates culture," Chit Chat said.
"We'll still have enough Burwood roads and streets to celebrate our fossil-fuelled past.
"And before you think it, Silverchair Street sounds bloody good too. They just never played in Burwood Street.

It's A Boy
Jennifer Hawkins posted this photo of her baby bump around the time she gave birth to a son.
"My whole world," she said, of the image.
The former Miss Universe and husband Jake Wall named the boy Hendrix Hawkins-Wall. They also have a two-year-old daughter named Frankie Violet.
"Welcome to the world, our sweet boy. What a week it's been!" Jen said on Instagram, adding that he was born on October 20.
"Our little man wanted to say hello to the world earlier than expected and has needed some extra care, but is now doing so well and is healthy and strong! We could not be more grateful or more in love!"
Jen, 37, is from Holmesville in north-west Lake Macquarie.
The former Knights cheerleader was crowned Miss Universe in 2004 at age 20.
She went on to become the face of Myer and the Trinity Point development in south-west Lake Macquarie.
She runs businesses including swimwear label Cozi and the tequila brand Sesion.
Jen and Jake paid $6.95 million last year for a 1950s property in Whale Beach. It was the oceanfront estate of the late soprano Dame Joan Sutherland. In 2019, they sold their Newport mansion for $24.5 million to Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes.
