The Washington Redskins kept things simple during the second and third rounds of the 2019 NFL draft.
Simple, meaning grabbing up a former Dwayne Haskins target and trading away their only other selection.
Going into today’s four-round affair, the Redskins have plenty of remaining needs and picks with which to address them.
Day 2 Picks: Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State (76)
The Redskins didn’t have a second-round pick thanks to the move up back into the first for Montez Sweat. But they did stand tall and grab McLaurin at No. 76, giving Haskins a guy he connected with for 11 touchdowns last season. The Redskins traded away No. 96 and got back two picks.

The Needs
The Redskins spent Day 2 addressing the problem at wideout — but it’s probably not the last time. With names like Josh Doctson and Paul Richardson struggling last year, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the team hit the spot again.
But needs persist elsewhere. The interior of the offensive line could get addressed early. Ditto for the defensive backfield, both in terms of an instant-impact safety and a long-term outlook at corner.
On paper, the Redskins could also use additional help with the pass rush and some long-term depth at tight end and in both trenches couldn’t hurt.
The front office added a pair of fourth-round picks for a reason, so they have some flexibility to move up or could grab two rotational players to boost the team right away.
