Where should you draft Kirk Cousins in your fantasy football draft?

Kirk Cousins is the starter for the Minnesota Vikings.

So, why are fantasy experts saying Cousins should be your fantasy backup?

Cousins’ numbers were solid in 2018 as he threw for 4,298 yards and 30 touchdowns. Overall, Cousins finished with 282 fantasy points, a mark that ranked 15th among all players.

With that, though, he was 13th at the quarterback position. In a 10-team league, that would make Cousins a fringe starter or a backup.

The folks over at Pro Football Focus, ranked Cousins in the seventh tier of fantasy quarterbacks labeled “Late-Round High Floors” along with Dak Prescott, Tom Brady and Philip Rivers.

What’s nice about Cousins is the consistency with his numbers. He’s thrown for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns over the last four seasons.

ESPN has Cousins ranked as the 20th ranked quarterback inbetween Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold, which seems a bit too low. He’s the 183rd overall ranked played.

If you’re a Vikings fan and want Cousins to be your starting quarterback, you do you. Chances are, you’ll be passing on some better options, though.
