Where should students vote in the general election? Guide to student voting

The time to make your vote count is almost here.

Following months of Brexit chaos, the political parties are hoping to win the support of the public at the polling stations, with the likes of Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn among those hoping to be the next leader of the United Kingdom.

An important part of the vote, however, is that of the student vote, with young people wanting to have a clear say in the future of the country.

But where should students vote in the December 12 election?

Here is what you need to know.

Students can vote in the constituency of their term-time address or the constituency of their family or address when not in studies.

They cannot vote in both, however, it must be one or the other.

Students register just like the rest of the public here , with the option to add more than one address.

Students must be aged 18 to vote in the general election .

Remember, you must register by the deadline of 11:59 on November 26, 2019, for the December 12 election.

If you wish to apply for a postal vote then apply by 5pm on November 26, 2019, if you are in England, Scotland, or Wales.

It is even sooner for those of you in Northern Ireland, as you must apply for a postal vote by 5pm on November 21, 2019.

Remember, make your political views count and vote!

The general election takes place on December 12, 2019.
