Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day and Google is celebrating by fooling around with Waldo. Waldo and his friends Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, Odlaw and Woof the dog are hiding in Google maps for a week starting today.
Waldo pops out on the side of your Maps screen after he’s rolled out to your phone or desktop. Tap his waving figure, tap play, and you’re on your way to whereever in the world he’s hiding. Now, all you have to do is find him.
If your hands are busy, just ask the Assistant in your Home device, Chromebook or phone “Hey Google, where’s Waldo?”. If your eyes are busy because you’re driving, look for Waldo later.
Play as often as you like, win badges, and for a real challenge, try to find Woof. All you can see is his tail.
