Nottingham Forest’s head of international recruitment Jose Anigo reportedly “has a close eye” on young talent at his former club Marseille.
Anigo was unveiled in his role at the City Ground earlier this season, but - along with technical director Francois Modesto - is understood to have already been working at the club for some time.
He was involved in the Reds’ summer recruitment, specifically the signings of Samba Sow and Brice Samba.
The Frenchman is also said to be involved with fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned club Olympiacos.
And, according to L’Equipe, he has been keeping a close eye on some of Marseille’s young players, having held various roles at the French side during his career, including academy director, first-team coach and general manager.
The report adds he works with agents Pierre Issa and Salim Arrache, who both represented Marseille during their playing careers.
It is said Anigo discussed Forest with the father of 16-year-old goalkeeper Simon Ngapandouetnbu before he signed a professional deal with Marseille.
