Where Nottingham Forest should realistically be aiming to finish this season, according to Reds legend

Nottingham Forest are in the middle of their first break of the season after six league games.

So where should Forest be realistically aiming for based on what we've seen so far?

For me, they might be tenth right now in the Championship, but they look a top eight side with the potential to break into the top six.

The manager has adapted quickly and his team is well organised, although I think he is still learning about the league.

They've done well against good teams, only playing sides who are above them in the current table, before they return to action against Swansea on Saturday.

That won't be an easy game with the Welsh side the surprise early leaders.

You wouldn't bet against Forest getting a result though. They've gone to Leeds and Charlton and got draws and they earned a brilliant win at Fulham.

Belief should be high when they take to the field because they're used to playing good teams.

From what I've seen, West Brom are the ones to beat this season. They've got a read good mix of skill and physicality.

Leeds are very good too, but I would give the Baggies the edge on them at this stage.

My own big reservation about Forest is the lack of strength in depth when it comes to strikers. Sign someone in January and I'd be even more confident.
