Where Leeds United, Fulham, Cardiff City and Swansea City all rank in table of best home support in the Championship

Judging which Championship club has the best set of supporters is always a hot topic of debate.

The second tier is filled with thousands of passionate fans who follow their team up and down the country, week in, week out.

Given how many fallen giants now reside in the Championship, there is some healthy competitions amongst the former greats as to which club has the best fan base.

There will never be any clear way of defining which set of fans are the best but with help from Transfermarkt , there's a clear way to see which set of home supporters have trumped the rest this season.

While it's worth remembering that some fixtures have been on TV and only three home matches have been played by each side, we have some interesting data.

Statistics from the six Championship fixtures of the season so far have worked out which clubs are the best at filling their stadium, so how do Cardiff City Stadium and the Liberty Stadium rank alongside Elland Road and the Madejski?

Cardiff's home attendances this year have been 24,724 (vs Luton), 21,821 (vs Huddersfield) and 22,631 (vs Fulham). The Swans, meanwhile, have had home attendances of 15,741 (vs Hull), 15,250 (vs Preston) and 17,277 (vs Birmingham).

Below, we have ranked each club in the league, based on the percentage comparing stadium capacity and average home attendances this season, highlighting which supporters have made the strongest start to the season.
