Whilst the topic of Leeds United's struggles to put the ball in the net on a regular and consistent basis this season has been well documented, their defensive efforts have been nothing short of exceptional.
After 16 Championship matches, the Whites, who headed into the international break with a 2-1 triumph over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road, boast the best defence in the division, having conceded just nine goals in 16 games.
It makes for very impressive viewing, especially when the Whites offloaded Pontus Jansson in the summer and have had to make do without skipper Liam Cooper for four of their matches. But, of course, Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Ben White has been nothing short of outstanding, meaning he has helped Leeds to record eight clean-sheets already this term, which is two better than nearest challengers Sheffield Wednesday who have six.
But what makes that statistic - as pointed out by Twitter's @LUFCDATA - all the more impressive is the fact that the Whites, who will resume their Championship campaign with a trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town on Saturday, have only conceded four times from open play this season.
Leeds have conceded just FOUR league goals from open play in this season; the lowest amount in the top four tiers of English league football in 2019/20.

That works out at one goal every 360 minutes, or one every four matches.
Not only is that record the very best in the Championship, it, too, is also the very best record of any side in England's top four divisions, meaning it is better than the likes of Premier League title contenders Liverpool and Leicester City.
And the fact that this record has been set is down to the fact that Bielsa has made his side an incredibly tough nut to crack this term, with his main focus on being making his side hard to beat.
