Where Keith Duffy's son is now 21 years after adorable Late Late Toy Show appearance

RTE is bringing people on a trip down memory lane this week as they share clips from Toy Shows of yesteryear.

One particular clip they decided to share on social media was that of Keith Duffy and his little boy Jay back in 1999.

The then three-year-old wasn't all too pleased in his appearance as he blocked his ears to avoid the loud noise.

Jay had no interest in playing the guitar, the saxophone or any instrument despite his dad and Pat Kenny's best efforts.

And, of course, it's been 21 years since that appearance and Jay Duffy has naturally changed a lot in that time.

Now, the son of the former Boyzone singer, is an actor, and a well-known one, we might add.

So much so that when you see him you may recognise his face from a very popular TV show.

Yep, handsome Jay had a role in BBC series Derry Girls where he gained plenty of new fans for his acting.

And speaking earlier this year the budding actor said the family name does bring added pressure, but he's extremely proud of it.

He told The Times UK: "I’m proud to be Keith Duffy’s son. I’m happy to talk about him at every opportunity. But you know, that’s not to say it doesn’t come with a little baggage."

It's not just Derry Girls you may recognise Jay from, he's been on loads of shows including Hollyoaks, and he played a small part in Vikings.

The young man has also changed his look quite a few times, as his Instagram shows, with him swaying between long and short hair and the occasional facial hair look.

He won't be featuring on The Toy Show this year, but he will likely look back on the cute experience fondly.
