Where Jack Ross stands in Celtic manager odds list as Hibs boss remains potential contender

Jack Ross remains a possibility to replace Neil Lennon as Celtic manager - but his odds have been falling.

The bookies reckon Ross will be on the list but remains an outsider, which is good news for Hibs fans.

Back in December when it was first suggested that Lennon would leave the Glasgow giants, it was believed Ross would be a major contender for the role.

At the time, Graeme Mathie admitted the Easter Road side will always have a plan in place and wouldn't be surprised if clubs tried to poach Ross from them.

At the time, he said: “Unfortunately, you just never know. But I’m not naive. We understand that Jack is a highly regarded head coach and manager, as he should be, and just as we are aware that our talented players might be wanted by others in January or at the end of the season, we also have to be aware of all of these other things and prepare appropriately.

“It is something I hope does not come across my desk any time soon. I think Jack is in the right place.”

But the Hibs boss is remaining at the club for now and according to Oddschecker, has now moved out to 22/1 for the job in the east end of Glasgow.

Selected odds

Jack Ross 22/1

Martin O’Neill 20/1

Shaun Maloney 20/1

Alex Neil 20/1

Rafa Benitez 10/1

Enzo Maresca 9/1

Frank Lampard 4/1

Steve Clarke 4/1

Eddie Howe 3/1

John Kennedy 2/1
