Where is Todd Gurley? Super Bowl fans perplexed as LA Rams' star running back goes missing against New England Patriots

The Super Bowl is waiting for one man to appear, but it isn’t Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and it isn’t Big Boi or Travis Scott.

Todd Gurley has been the talk of social media throughout the first half of America’s biggest sporting event, not because of anything he’s done on the field but mainly because of his inaction. His complete inaction.

Gurley is a first-round pick who played to an MVP level earlier this season as the Rams rode a combination of him and wide-open receivers to a series of romps over mismatched opponents.

But the Georgia product was not just outsnapped by late-season pick-up C.J. Anderson, who the Rams signed off the street as back-up, rather Anderson got all the ball and all the carries. Gurley was an afterthought for McVay, but not for the watching hordes.

Fans could only think of wild reasons why Gurley wasn't in the game.

Some thought it was time to send out a search party for the young rusher.

With so much talk of Gurley having an injury, the conspiracy theorists were out in force.

And even NFL players were chipping in, revealing just how much of a positive it is for the Patriots.

So where is he? In the first half - non-existent.
