Where is the Love Island villa? Islanders enter as itv2 show returns

The countdown is over as on Monday night Love Island is officially back on our screens for a new series.

After originally starting life as Celebrity Love Island in the 00s, the show got a re-brand and returned to our screens in Love Island in 2015.

Since then it has seen its ratings grow and grow as millions of viewers tune in night after night to get all the drama from the villa.

And it returns to our screens for 2019 this week. Sticking with Love Island tradition, the first episode will see enter the villa and then couple up for the first time.

The very plush looking property has been the scene for lots of romance and loads of drama over the past four years.

Where is the Love Island villa?

It’s in the Majorcan town of Ses Salines. The area where its been built is rather remote and approximately 30 minutes from the popular resort of Cala d’Or and nearly an hour from party hotspot Magaluf.

Neighbouring property - Casa Amor - which is always guaranteed to throw a serious spanner in the works is very close to the Love Island villa.

Will it open its doors for even more drama this year? We'll soon find out!
