Many viewers expressed their anger and concern at Piers Morgan being absent from Good Morning Britain on Thursday.
Over the past few weeks, Piers has given us plenty of talking points with his direct opinions on the coronavirus pandemic, which have seen him hold MPs to account for their dealing of the situation and hit out at people like Mike Ashley for their actions as cases of COVID-19 continue ti climb in the UK.
And then on Wednesday, the outspoken host shocked everyone by promising to pay any NHS worker's parking fine.
That meant that viewers were upset when Piers didn't appear on screen on GMB on Thursday. One tweeted: "Where’s @piersmorgan this morning on @GMB. Not the same. We need him in this crisis. He’s the only one holding these people accountable for there actions. Come back piers."
Another wrote: "Where the f**k is @piersmorgan? @GMB gonna be pointless today..." and a third reacted: "WHERE IS @piersmorgan? missing him on @GMB this morning."
The reason Piers wasn't there on Thursday and more than likely won't be on GMB on Friday either is that he typically only fronts the show Monday to Wednesday, with Ben Shepherd taking on presenting duties.
Piers himself even acknowledged that fact when replying to a viewer saying: "We call it Therapeutic Thursday on @GMB- I find Ben soothing too."
Viewers were justified in their concern though as for the past few weeks, Piers' usual co-host Susanna Reid has been appearing on the show from self-isolation after her son developed coronavirus symptoms.
