Where is Piers Morgan and when is he back on ITV's Good Morning Britain?

Richard Bacon stepped in for breakfast show host Piers Morgan on ITV's Dido appears on Good Morning Britain 15 years after her last tour .

The guest presenter made his debut on the show on Thursday (April 25), hosting alongside Susanna Reid and he's expected to be back again tomorrow with Kate Garraway.

Bacon’s stint in the presenting seat comes after Richard Madeley hosted alongside Susanna Reid earlier this week.

The show's director jokingly walked on at the end of the show to hand Bacon his P45 for not being clean shaven.

And fans already found a small issue with Richard Bacon though, with Susanna addressing it live on air. She said: “We’ve had a complaint."

She then revealed that a viewer said: "Loving Richard Bacon. What’s up with the glasses?

"On and then off, and then on and then off. It’s so annoying."

Richard responded by joking they were out of time, before adding: "Oh that, well do you know what, I’m new to wearing glasses. I do need them for reading.

"I’m a little bit unsure, but what do you think? Shall I leave them on or off?"

Here's what viewers thought of Richard Bacon:

So, where's Piers?

Piers and Susanna had taken a three-week break from the show over the Easter period, with Susanna returning to our screens on Tuesday.

However Piers didn't return, with Richard Madeley filling in for the controversial ex-newspaper editor.

Susanna took to Twitter, jokingly revealing she was the reason he wasn't back on TV yet, following an exchange they had after Arsenal lost to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

She revealed on air that he's "barely speaking to her".

Gunners fan Piers told Susanna in a WhatsApp message: "I can't talk to you. I am too enraged."

In reality, he's just taken an extra week off and Piers will be back on GMB on Monday.

When asked when he will be back, the Manchester Evening News reported that Piers said: "Monday. I always like to wait for the British people to miss me so much they feel physically sick with fear that I may not return."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV
