Where is Netflix's Too Hot To Handle filmed? Inside the Casa Tau resort

New dating show Too Hot To Handle has become our latest obsession.

Those who like Love Island will adore the new Netflix reality programme, which puts 10 sexy singletons in a luxury retreat.

However, in a brand new twist on the format, Too Hot to Handle tries to encourage its contestants to remain celibate in order to win a share of $100,000. Any sexual contact, ranging from kissing to full intercourse, sees the total prize fund dwindle.

Obviously it becomes increasingly difficult for our singletons as things get hot and steamy.

So where are all of Too Hot To Handle's sexy shenanigans taking place? Here’s everything you need to know…

Where is Too Hot to Handle filmed?

The lush white beaches and deep blue seas that we see in Too Hot to Handle are filmed in Punta Mita, Mexico.

The luxury retreat, which is so plush it makes the Love Island villa look like a derelict bungalow, is called Casa Tau – and you can stay there yourself if you so wish.

Casa Tau is a private seafront villa with its very own slice of beach. Having opened in 2018, the resort is part of a luxe gated community in Punta Mita’s Los Rancheros area.

While the Too Hot to Handle contestants were expected to share rooms a la Love Island, we only saw a small part of the huge retreat – it’s actually made up of 12 guests rooms, three master suites with a sea view and one double room. At full capacity, Casa Tau’s official website says the resort can house an impressive 27 people – just shy of twice the size of the Too Hot to Handle cast.

The luxury villa also boasts an infinity pool and jacuzzi, table tennis and pool tables, as well as fully stocked kitchen and breakfast bars and its own wine fridge.

If that isn’t quite boujee enough, the whole residence boasts a 24 hour butler service and 15 staff onsite to pander to your every whim.

How much does it cost to stay at the Casa Tau resort?

Due to the current coronavirus crisis, you can't book your blowout holiday to Mexico just yet.

But if you really do want to go to Casa Tau, it’ll cost you. According to Trip Advisor, it costs around $15,600 (£12,662) a night – with rates subject to change.

On top of that, you have to also stump up an additional $15,000 (£12,375) for deposit.

If you’d like all your meals cooked for you during your stay, you’d have to shell out an additional $120 (£97) a day.

It’s little wonder that only the hugely rich and famous have had the chance to stay there, with rapper Ludacris previously vacationing there with his family.

Too Hot to Handle is now streaming on Netflix
