Where is Kelvin Fletcher’s farm? Where BBC's Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure is filmed

Former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher spent most of his working life playing a farmer on the ITV hit soap and is now attempting to do it for real on his new BBC show.

Kelvin is best known for playing Andy Sugden on Emmerdale and has teamed up with the BBC to make his own real-life show called Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure as he attempts to make farming both his life and his day job.

The BBC One series will hit screens later this month and has already been compared to the Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm and Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm.

Kelvin has now addressed the comparisons in a Daily Mail interview, saying: “Well, if the BBC want to pay me what Amazon are paying Clarkson, that would be fine with me.”

Kelvin insisted the new BBC One series came to be by chance and said that there has been a huge popularity for farming shows like Our Yorkshire Farm and Amazon's Clarkson's Farm.

He went on: “We were talking to the BBC about other things entirely and this came up.

“There’s a huge appetite for this sort of show and they’re all very different in their own ways.”

Where is Kelvin Fletcher’s farm?

Kelvin and his wife, Liz, have bought a 120-acre farm which is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

The couple purchased the property as a fresh start after his acting career and Strictly Come Dancing win and they plan to bring the farm back to its working glory despite having zero farming experience.

Kelvin has 28 sheep with the hope of the flock growing to ‘about 80’ by next year.

They also have three pigs, three alpacas, two rabbits.

When is Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure on the BBC?

Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure is on BBC One on Monday, 17th January at 8.30pm and on catch up via the BBC iPlayer.
