Reality TV show The Block has been running since 2003, and has seen countless duos walk away with life-changing amounts of cash. We’ve also seen ex-contestants start new business ventures, marriages, babies, and TV gigs along the way.
With the finale airing tonight and another Auction Day upon us, we thought it would be the perfect time to take a walk down memory lane and see what all of the past winners are up to.
Ready? Let’s go!
Where are The Block winners now?
Maddy and Charlotte — 2024
Maddy and Charlotte Harry joined the cast of The Block 2024 after Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire quit halfway through. The sisters became the youngest winners on The Block so far, and took home a tidy $1.65 million to fund their next venture.
Maddy and Charlotte are experienced house flippers, and have continued to work on their YouTube series The Challenge House, which sees them flip a house in just 13 weeks.

Steph and Gian — 2023
Steph and Gian Ottavio won The Block 2023 with a record-breaking profit of $1.75 million. Since then, they’ve been busy bees! The couple launched a homewares brand called Japandi Estate, and are set to welcome a baby girl soon.
“I can’t wait to meet the mini you,” the couple shared on Instagram in June.

Omar and Oz — 2022
Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Said made over $1.58 million in profit after Adrian Portelli rocked up as a first-time bidder on The Block (which won’t be happening this year ‘cos apparently he’s been banned). The pair have kept relatively quiet since winning the show, but they did make a brief appearance on The Block 2024 as part of an All-Stars showdown.
Mitch and Mark — 2021
Mitch Edwards and Mark Mckie first competed on The Block 2019 but came back in 2021 to win the whole damn thing. The couple ended up nabbing over $744K in prize money, and went on to become TV stars.
Mitch and Mark hosted Location, Location, Location on Channel 10, a show dedicated to helping wannabe homeowners purchase their dream house.
“We’d like to be able to help people get to their dream,” Mitch told Channel 10 at the time. “Often your home is your dream, it’s the biggest purchase you ever make so we’d like to have people that are very open to benefit from our experience, our wins and our mistakes.”
Tam and Jimmy — 2020
Tam and Jimmy Wilkins made over a million dollars on The Block, and the couple used that money to purchase their forever home.
“Prior to The Block we were renting in Brisbane without any sort of sight owning our home within the next five to 10 years,” Jimmy told Now To Love. “It’s enabled us to actually buy our house outright and mortgage-free. And we’ve still got money in the bank as well to help us get our businesses off the ground and live life quite comfortably and not have those pressures.”
Tam and Jimmy also starred in web series Let’s Build a Wide Span Shed with Jimmy and Tam, chronicling their own renovations in Queensland.
Tess and Luke — 2019
Tess and Luke Struber made a massive $730K after winning The Block 2019, and have since expanded their family. Their first daughter Cleo Sophia was born in 2021, named after her great grandmother Cleopha.
Tess shared how thankful she was for Luke on social media after the birth, saying: “I fell in love with Luke all over again [when Cleo was born]. There is no way I would have been able to get through this day without him,” she said.
The couple’s latest addition to the family came in 2024, when Tess gave birth to son Mack.
“Our boy, Mack John Struber, 4.03.24. It was always you. You hung the moon,” Tess and Luke wrote on Instagram.

Hayden and Sara — 2018
Hayden Vale and Sara Tumino made $645K as the winners of The Block 2018, and used their winnings to renovate a property in the NSW Illawarra region.
The couple expanded their family in 2019, welcoming their second child, Lawson Jet in May.
Both Sara and Hayden struggled during COVID, as Sara was laid off from her job as a Virgin Australia flight attendant. However, in 2022, Sara shared a photo on Instagram announcing her return to work.
“Hey Big Red, I’m back. It has been a very sad several months in the world of aviation, with friends all over the world in different airlines, each one of their airlines slowly succumbing to COVID,” she wrote. “It’s been very upsetting and at one point I actually thought the same about our airline but with a little luck we are managing to survive.”
Elyse and Josh — 2017
Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker walked away with $547K in prize money in 2017. Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes was the winning bidder, but he purchased it as an investment property rather than a family home.
Elyse has continued her career as a model, while Josh still hangs around construction sites — he’s a tradie!
Josh popped the question in 2019, before bringing their first son Sunny into the world. They’ve since had two more children, Zaii and Java. What an adorable Block family they are!
Will and Karlie — 2016
Will Bethune and Karlie Cicero made a massive $815K in 2016, and at the time, they were just 25 years old. Imagine having that much dosh at that age?! Absolutely life-changing.
The couple tied the knot after winning The Block and flew to New Zealand for a romantic holiday. In 2020, the pair welcomed their first child, Indigo, into the world.
“We would like to introduce Indigo Jade Kara Bethune, our amazing princess!” Karlie and Will wrote on Instagram at the time. “Mum and bub are safe and resting. She had quite the eventful entry into this world… we are the happiest parents and think we are punching well above our weight with how gorgeous this girl is.”
Dean and Shay — 2015
High school sweethearts Shay and Dean Paine were shocked to win a massive $755K on The Block 2015. Since then, the parents of three have bought a farm and also share travel and renovation content on Instagram.
In 2023, the couple shared a tribute to each other on Instagram, celebrating 17 years together. “We chose each other then, and we have continued to choose each other every day since,” they wrote. Awwwww.
Darren and Deanne — 2015 (Triple Threat)
Darren and Deanne Jolly competed on The Block 2014, but returned the following year after only making $10K. It was a great decision, because the pair ended up winning the whole damn thing and pocketing $935K. Deanne returned to The Block in 2017 as a guest judge.
The married couple called it quits in 2019 after 15 years of marriage, and the exes were embroiled in a heated custody battle over daughters Scarlett and Lily.
Former AFL player Darren went on to have another daughter, Olive, with his girlfriend Lucy Porter in 2022.
Shannon and Simon — 2014
Brothers Shannon and Simon Vos walked away with $435K — not too shabby!
Shannon now runs his own business called Vos Creative, where he specialises in interior design, consulting and writing. The Block star shares a bunch of family snaps on Instagram, often celebrating his wife Lisa and their two children.
Simon has stayed in the renovation space, and recently transformed his Coffs Harbour house with his wife Ash, giving it a Palm Springs feel.
Steve and Chantelle — 2014 (Fans v Favourites)
Steve O’Donnell and Chantelle Ford won The Block: Fans v Faves back in 2014, leaving the show with $736K. However, Steve and Chantelle split up the following year.
Chantelle went on to run two companies, Ford Millinery and Ford Bridal. Steve returned to The Block in 2019 as a chimney sweep, helping out Elise and Matt Bothe.
Alisa and Lysandra — 2013
Alisa and Lysandra Fraser are one of the most recognisable Block duos so far, helped by competing on two seasons back-to-back; they also competed on The Block 2014. The twins have over 252K followers on Instagram, have their own vanity range and beauty line al.ive body.
Alisa and Lysandra recently appeared on The Block 2025 to host a challenge, and surprised contestants with products from their al.ive range.

Phil and Amity — 2013
Phil Rankine and Amity Dry first appeared on The Block 2003, and returned a decade later to take out the win. The couple walked away with $395K in prize money, but it wasn’t smooth sailing after that.
In 2018, the fan-favourite couple broke up, with Amity telling news.com.au it was “pretty awful”.
“I think divorce is really like a death in a lot of ways,” she said. “It’s the death of who you were and the life that you know, and you have to rediscover who you are as a single person, and not being part of a couple.”
Amity is now in a relationship with Benjamin Grindlay, who she started dating in 2019.
Brad and Lara — 2012
Brad and Lara Cranfield left The Block $606K richer. Since 2012, they’ve tied the knot, welcomed two sons, and have continued renovating.
Polly and Waz — 2011
Polly Porter and Waz Jones won $115K on The Block 2011. Since the show ended, they have had two children — Hudson in 2016, and Scotland in 2017.

John and Neisha — 2010
John and Neisha Pitt pocketed $305K in 2010. They haven’t had a big media presence since the show wrapped up, with Neisha still running her business, the Stepping Early Learning Centre.
Dr Andrew and Jamie — 2004
Dr Andrew and Jamie Rochford left The Block $178K richer. Dr Andrew was quite taken with the media industry, and has quite an impressive resume. You might have seen him on Studio 10, The Living Room, The Project, Pointless or even Offspring.

Adam and Fiona — 2003
Adam Thom and Fiona Mills were the very first winners of The Block, and the couple walked away with $256K.
The couple used their prize money to buy an investment property in Queensland, and they also penned a book called Adam and Fiona’s Renos On A Budget: How We Renovated Our Way To The Block.
In a recent interview with Woman’s Day, Adam revealed the couple continued to renovate long after they put their tools down on The Block. “We were just renovators, and we still are. We’ve done four houses since The Block,” he said.
That’s a massive 20 winners The Block has produced so far, and there’s no sign of the show slowing down in popularity. We’ll update this list once The Block 2025 crowns a new winner, so keep this page bookmarked!
