Where in Nottingham you can get childcare during the summer holidays for only £7.50 a day

It may still seem like ages away, but the big summer holiday will be here before we know.

And everyone knows what a headache it can be for parents who need to get their children looked after for six weeks while they work.

So getting organised now and sorting out childcare in advance could save you a lot of stress further down the line, especially if you can do it without breaking the bank.

Sainsbury's is helping out hard-working parents this year by hosting Active Kids holiday clubs in 70 locations across the country, including in Nottinghamshire.

The clubs aim to keep kids healthy and active during the summer holidays, without denting parents' bank accounts too much.

Last year, thousands of children took part in the supermarket's holiday club, so they've decided to expand it even more this year.

What is Sainsbury's Active Kids holiday club?

The clubs are run by Premier Education trained and accredited coaches and aim to be fun for everyone.

Children will be placed in groups according to their age and will be given the chance to meet new people and try new activities.

As listed on the Sainsbury's Active Kids holiday club website, children will get to take part in a range of activities such as: tennis, gymnastics, dodgeball, tennis, arts & crafts, circus skills and a para-sport.

What's included?

  • All the activities
  • A healthy lunch and snacks throughout the day
  • Childcare from 9am to 4pm Monday-Friday during the summer holidays

Fun activities, healthy food and seven hours of childcare all for £7.50 a day

Where can my children go?

There are two locations in Leicestershire.

Fernwood School in Goodwood Road, Wollaton. This club runs from July 29 to August 30.

Morven Park Primary and Nursery School in School Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. This club runs from July 25 until August 29.

Both of these clubs allow you to check your children in from 8.45am.

How do I book?

You can book up to five children onto the holiday club and you can book onto an unlimited number of sessions for each child.

You will need to select the location of the club you want and the days you would like your children to attend.

Emergency contact details, allergy and medical issues will need to be submitted.

You can even pay for these sessions by Nectar points at the time of booking.

Of course you can also pay the remainder (or the total sum) by card.

All of this can be done here on the Sainsbury's Active Kids holiday club website.
