When it comes to house prices Bristol truly is a city of two tales.
Those living in the most affluent areas fork out a whopping half a million on average for their homes.
This compared to residents in some of the most deprived areas in and around Bristol who paid around £149,000 for a property.
And the latest figures show the gap is only getting bigger. Homeowners living in the richest area - Westbury-on-Trym - enjoyed a seven per cent increase in the value of their properties last year.
Whereas those in living in the cheapest area - Hillside in Weston-super-Mare- suffered a four per cent drop.
However, it wasn't all bad news for those owning the lowest priced houses. Four locations in Weston (Central, South Worle, North Worle, and Winterstoke) enjoyed increases in the average costs of homes.
While houses in affluent Long Ashton decreased by five per cent during 2019, bringing the price of an average property to £480,000.
