61 new speed camera vans will be installed on Irish roads next week.
It'll bring the total number of zones across the country to 1,373, with the new routes coming into operation from 6am on Tuesday, July 26.
New locations were selected following an analysis of collated Garda data acquired from fatal, serious and minor road traffic collisions and from further consideration given to locations of concern highlighted by local communities through local Garda Community engagement.

It comes amid a grim announcement that there have already been 89 deaths on Irish roads so far in 2022. That's an increase in 28 over 2021 and 13 to date in 2019.
The new zones are spread across 23 counties, 49% on Regional Routes, 31% National Routes and 20% on other routes (Motorway, Local Roads etc.).
Kildare and Wexford both have increased focus, with more new zones there than any other counties.
