Where does the Texans defense, special teams rank in fantasy football?

The Houston Texans have long been a good defense in the NFL. Over the past years, the Texans have added stars to their hard nose defense like J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, and Whitney Mercilus.

When all those stars aligned and you pair that with an excellent defensive coordinator like coach Romeo Crennel, the vision becomes clear.

As fantasy football drafts are being scheduled and many drafters doing their homework on their potential picks. Some leagues still do participate in having a defensive roster.

With a 13.06 ADP (Average Draft Position) in 2019 according to fantasy football calculator, the Texans will put up a solid 2019 season for your fantasy squad.

Ranking 4th overall in the NFL in points given up for 2018, the Texans should be close to that for 2019. The biggest concern is the secondary after losing Tyrann Mathieu to the Kansas City Chiefs this past offseason.

If you’re selecting a defensive in the later rounds which you should be for every draft if you can choose the Texans defense as your last pick that is an excellent value if your league still honors the defense position.

Taking the Texans after rounds 13 and on is the likely sweet spot for them. With a lot of questions about the secondary unit but knowing who they have upfront getting pressure and sacks, taking a gamble on the Texans with your last pick makes too much sense not to.
