Where does Tennessee Titans’ Isaiah Wilson rank based on draft value?

The Tennessee Titans were left with a pressing need on the offensive line heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

Right tackle Jack Conklin hit a rough patch as he battled injury the past few years, but was clearly on the upswing before departing to the Cleveland Browns this offseason.

Tennessee will look to fill the void this year with a competition between first-round draft pick Isaiah Wilson out of Georgia and veteran Dennis Kelly for the starting right tackle spot.

But how much value did the Titans get with their first-round pick? And how does Wilson’s value rank among the rest of the NFL’s first-round selections?

According to Luke Easterling of Draft Wire, Wilson was ranked at No. 21 among every first-round selection, which takes into account where Easterling had him ranked on his big board (No. 37) and where he was actually taken (No. 29).

While at Georgia, the 6-foot-6, 350-pound Wilson showed potential as a pass-blocker, allowing just nine total pressures (one sack, two quarterback hits, and six quarterback hurries) in 358 pass-blocking snaps. His specialty is really blocking for the run, which makes him a perfect fit for Tennessee.

Wilson’s former offensive line coach, Sam Pittman, had nothing but good things to say about his former player in a recent scouting report posted on Titans social media.

“(Titans fans should know) that he’ll work hard, that he’s tough and his redshirt freshman year, he played the most snaps of anybody for us on the offensive line and we had really good players that played along with him.”

He’ll have a chance to prove just how much he’s actually worth to the Titans soon enough when the team returns to football later this year.
