As we head into the 2019 NFL season, Steve Palazzolo ranked the starting quarterbacks in the NFL over at Pro Football Focus.
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins ranked 14th on the list, which feels about right. In his first season with the Vikings in 2018, Cousins threw for 30 touchdowns.
Here’s what Palazzolo wrote about Cousins:
He’s more than capable of making big-time throws and pushing the ball down the field, but last season saw Cousins fall more in line with recent Vikings quarterbacks, as he ranked fourth in the league at avoiding turnover-worthy plays, the fifth straight season and fourth different Minnesota signal-caller to rank in the top 10 in that department.
Cousins in sandwiched between Jared Goff at 13 and Matthew Stafford at 15.
To round out the rest of the quarterbacks in the NFC North, Aaron Rodgers ranks fourth and Mitchell Trubisky ranks 26th.
