Where does Georgia football rank amongst newest AP top-25?

The Associated Press released its Top-25 poll this past Sunday, showing a number of shifts taking place.  Here’s a look at the Top-10, and where the Dawgs rank after their thriller against Notre Dame.

AP Top-10 approaching Week 5:

1. Clemson (4-0) – previously #1

2. Alabama (4-0) – previously #2

3. Georgia (4-0) – previously #3

4. LSU (4-0) – previously #4

5. Ohio State (4-0) – previously #6

6. Oklahoma (3-0) – previously #5

7. Auburn (4-0) – previously #8

8. Wisconsin (3-0) previously #13

9. Florida (4-0) – previously #9

10. Notre Dame (2-1) – previously #7

Five SEC teams remain in this weeks Top-10, along with three in the Top-4.  A big win over Michigan jumped Wisconsin from the #13 spot to #8.  Notre Dame had a very well executed game plan that was cut short by the Dawgs, but was respectable enough to stay in the Top-10, especially in the atmosphere of Sanford Stadium.

Other notable shifts include Michigan dropping from #11 to #20, USC re-entering the Top-25 at #21, Texas A&M dropping from #17 to #23 after going 2-2 and Cal getting into the #15 spot from #23.

The Bulldogs will get a bye-week this week to nurse any bumps and bruises before heading to Knoxville to play the 1-3 Tennessee Volunteers on October 5th.
