Quarterback Kyler Murray has been one of the most discussed prospects in quite some time. He’s been the main topic for everyone this week with the NFL combine in full swing in Indianapolis.
Our guy Luke Easterling over at Draft Wire ranked the best to worst landing spots for the former Oklahoma quarterback and the Vikings rank higher than you probably think.
Easterling has the Vikings as the 21st team.
The Vikings are set at quarterback, at least for the next two years, with Kirk Cousins being due $58 million. Even if the Vikings were thinking about a change at quarterback (which they’re not), the team has so many other needs such as offensive line, defensive tackle and linebacker, that it would be an irresponsible move – albeit, super flashy – to draft Murray with the 18th overall pick.
If Murray does fall to 18, which I don’t think is likely, it could mean good news for the Vikings if teams are trying to trade up.
