Viewers tuning in to last night's episode of ITV's The Chase were left cringing as one contestant gave a 'foolish' answer to an 'obvious' question.
One shocked fan even took to Twitter to ask: "Where do they get these people from?"
Hannah, who appeared on the family edition of the hit game show, was asked by host Bradley Walsh: "What Caribbean country is the athlete Asafa Powell from?" during the final quick-fire round.
Fans were horrified as a panicked Hannah reluctantly answered with: "Africa."
Despite being the only contestant to make it all the way to the finale, viewers couldn't help but share their shock at Hannah's blunder.
One viewer tweeted: "Wait, the question to the contestant was, “what country is the athlete Asafa Powell from?” This fool says, “Africa......” #TheChase "
A second added: "'Name a Caribbean country?' Africa'.... can you actually believe this just came out of a girls mouth on The Chase smh."
"Person on The Chase thought Africa was a Caribbean country and now I’m furious." A third put.
Another wrote: "Where do they get these people from? last time I checked Africa was not a Caribbean country #TheChase "
"I literally can't believe what I am hearing. This girl has just said Africa is in the Caribbean," someone else chimed.
One even said: "Anyone who thinks Africa is an island in the Caribbean doesn't deserve to win."
However, another added: "She has done ever so well by herself!"
