Where do the Philadelphia Eagles rank in 2020 salary cap after initial 53-man roster cuts?

The Philadelphia Eagles reduced their roster to 53 players on Saturday and they’ll piece together a talented 16 man practice squad at some point on Sunday.

The dust has now settled somewhat and the Eagles are still in solid standing when it comes to the current salary cap.

According to Spotrac.com, the Eagles currently rank 11th in the NFL with a little over $19.5 million in cap room for the 2020 NFL season.

The amended collective bargaining agreement between the league and the NFLPA specified that the 2020 salary cap will remain at $198.2 million, and fall to $175 million for the 2021 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, the Eagles will be around $82.5 million over the cap and could use the current cap space as rollover money for next season.
