The Philadelphia Eagles signed their entire 2019 draft class just hours before the start of a three-day rookie minicamp and with the salary cap numbers for all rookies already pre-determined, Howie Roseman can focus on Carson Wentz’ pending extension and other pressing matters.
According to Over The Cap, the Eagles currently have $21,648,391 in salary cap space, the 13th-highest amount in the NFL.

Howie Roseman has made some big moves this offseason including acquiring receiver DeSean Jackson, signing defensive tackle Malik Jackson and trading for running back Jordan Howard. Roseman was rewarded for his shrewd and savvy front office work when NFL.com ranked him as the No. 2 GM in the league.
The Eagles are in good shape for the 2019 season thanks to the salary cap maestro, Roseman, and have the leverage and position to make a huge trade at the deadline or to extend another one of their own. The Eagles decided to hold onto Nelson Agholor despite his hefty salary and he may serve as trade bait down the road, although the Eagles could clearly use him in the slot this season.
Roseman could also use the extra money to help boost the morale surrounding Malcolm Jenkins, who deserves a bonus or some added money to his paycheck. Either way, the Eagles are set up to maneuver and be aggressive at their choosing, while setting the franchise up to be successful for years to come.
