We continue to rank the teams and the players at different positions in the NFC West. In terms of individual cornerbacks in the division, the Arizona Cardinals’ Patrick Peterson sits at the top.
But how does each team stack up at the position?
No. 4: Seattle Seahawks

Projected lineup: Shaquill Griffin, Tre Flowers, Jamar Taylor (slot)
Griffin hasn’t proven himself yet as a consistent No. 1 corner and is the lowest-ranked No. 1 in the division. Flowers had zero interceptions and got his hands on only six passes last year, although he did have 67 tackles. Taylor was bad enough last year to get cut from the worst team in football (the Cardinals.)
No. 3: San Francisco 49ers

Projected lineup: Richard Sherman, Jason Verrett, K’Waun Williams/D.J. Reed (slot)
Sherman is still very good and so is Verrett but he has never managed to stay healthy. They have decent play from the slot. The Niners are better than Seattle at No. 1 and at No. 2.
No. 2: Arizona Cardinals

Projected lineup: Patrick Peterson, Robert Alford, Byron Murphy (slot)
The Cardinals have the best corner in the league in Peterson and upgraded at the second spot with Alford and drafted Murphy in the second round. Peterson’s six-game suspension will test the position but Alford, coming off a down year in which he played with a high ankle sprain, will be critically important. Alford is probably the sixth-best corner in the division and definitely the second-best No. 2.
No. 1: Los Angeles Rams

Projected lineup: Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, Nickell Robey-Coleman (slot)
Peters and Talib are two of the top five corners in the division. Robey-Coleman, famous for the non-call in the NFC Championship Game against the New Orleans Saints, is very solid in the slot. This is the best trio of corners in the division by far.
Do you agree? Who do you think has the best CB unit in the division?
