Where Coronation Street fans have spotted new girl Nicky before

Eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans may recognise new arrival Nicky.

The popular soap has aired new scenes introducing character Nicky this week, as Daniel Osbourne gets to know the mystery woman.

The character is played by actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson and is set to make her mark in the long-running serial.

She made her debut this week at an event where Adam Barlow had taken his uncle Daniel for a night out.

Daniel has been struggling ever since the death of his wife Sinead Tinker last year, after she lost her battle with cervical cancer.

The father and widower has been in a dark place but realised he needed to get back on track for his baby son Bertie, reports the Mirror.

Most recently, the character told his family he was doing okay - with Adam keen to get Daniel out and about again.

This week, solicitor Adam was at a business event, and asked Daniel to join him.

Initially reluctant, he agreed and Adam was thrilled to see Daniel enjoying himself again - especially after meeting Nicky at the bar.

But who exactly is Nicky? More scenes are set to air with some revelations.

If you recognise the blonde star playing Nicky, there could be a good reason for that.

She's been in a handful of hit shows, including fellow soap Hollyoaks and Sky's Mount Pleasant.

Just a few months ago, she played Beverly in Hollyoaks who was the landlord demanding money from Maxine Minniver.

It was in the middle of Maxine's own big storyline, where she was forced to prostitute herself for money to pay for her rent and for food for daughter Minnie.

Kimberly also starred on the same soap back in 2017, playing Davina who was a firefighter during the big school explosion stunt.

On Mount Pleasant, she was in two episodes as Chantelle.

Kimberly has also treaded the boards in theatre.

Viewers are keen for Daniel to be happy, and for him and Nicky to have a chance at romance.
