Star Trek fans greeted the news that there would be a fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery with much anticipation, after the action-packed end to season three that saw many mysteries solved.
However, there was some confusion in the weeks running up to the release, as all the show's previous seasons were removed from Netflix just two days before the US release date for season four.
In the US, it was announced that season four would be released on Paramount+, a streaming service unlikely to be available in the UK until 2022.

What to expect from Star Trek Discovery season 4?
*Season 3 spoilers*
It is believed that season four will pick up very much where season three left off. With the mystery of the burn now solved, Michael Burnham has now made it to the captain's chair of the USS Discovery.
Season four will introduce Federation President Laira Rillick (played by Chelah Horsdal). The trailer shows us that the crew will encounter "a threat like none our galaxy has faced before" in the form of some kind of anomaly.
New characters, uniforms, technologies, and story arcs are all to be expected in season four of Star Trek: Discovery.
