As the new Omicron variant spreads rapidly throughout the country, it has never been more important to get tested.
However, many people have been unable to order lateral flow tests from Gov.uk in recent days and weeks.
Even if you are able to place an order successfully, they can take up to three days to arrive - meaning it's unlikely you'll get them in time for Christmas.

There are other ways to collect a pack of tests, though.
Picking up lateral flow tests from a local collection point will be the quickest way for most people to get tests, and there are a huge number of these across Merseyside.
Pharmacies as well as other venues including libraries are offering this service, and you can find your nearest site on the NHS website.
Before you pick up tests from a collection point or pharmacy, you will need to get a collection code from Gov.uk
You can also get a collect code by calling 119 (free from landlines and mobiles), with lines open from 7am to 11pm.
You can order a maximum of one pack per day through the website for home delivery, but you can order up to two packs from some community collection points.
How often should I take a lateral flow test?
The most up-to-date NHS guidance says people should take rapid tests on days when "you're more likely to catch or spread Covid-19".
This includes before mixing with other people or visiting someone who is at higher risk of getting seriously ill from covid.
You should also do daily rapid tests (one a day for seven days) if you've been in contact with someone with Covid-19 and are either fully-vaccinated or under 18 years and six months old.
If you're a contact of someone with a positive result for covid and are over 18 years and six months old and not fully vaccinated, you are legally required to stay home and self-isolate.
