Where are we?

Bangkok's Department of City Planning has a huge scale model of the city. It is a popular place for school classes to visit.

If you look closely, you can see just about all of the capital's famous landmarks. Below are four examples. You know what they are called in Thai. But what are they called in English?

Answers:

1. Democracy Monument

2. Temple of the Golden Mount

3. The Giant Swing

4. Sanam Luang. Yes, English uses the Thai name. It used to be called the Phra Mane Grounds but few people call it that now.
