Where are the Titans landing in preseason power rankings?

With the preseason quickly approaching many NFL analysts have started to release their preseason power rankings.

As usual teams such as the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots still hover around the top of the list, but the Tennessee Titans seem to be all over the place.

Here’s a look at where the team has fallen in 2019 preseason power rankings.

ESPN.com (No. 13)

Steve Roberts-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN has the Titans ranked at No. 13 overall ahead of the season. The Indianapolis Colts are ranked at No. 5 on this list, while the Houston Texans are ranked at No. 8. The network predicts the Titans will win 8.1 games and gives them a slightly better than 35 percent chance of making the playoffs.

According to Turron Davenport, A.J. Brown and Adam Humphries are among the most important, key new additions.

Davenport highlights Humphries 72.4 percent catch rate, and Brown’s ability to generate yards after the catch.

The Titans are ranked just behind the Green Bay Packers (No. 12) and just ahead of the Seattle Seahawks (No. 13).

Bleacher Report (No. 22)

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Bleacher report has the Titans ranked at No. 22. They like what they’ve seen out of wide receiver Corey Davis, running back Derrick Henry, and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey last season.

The network also noted the addition of Ryan Tannehill could create a quarterback controversy, and that the loss of newly retired edge rushers Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan will take a toll on the the team.

Bleacher Report has the Titans ranked just behind the Carolina Panthers (No. 21) and the Detroit Lions (No. 23).

NFL.com (No. 14)

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

NFL.com has the Titans ranked at 14 in their power rankings, the same spot they were at last year this time.

The website calls it a healthy balance of a good free agent class and a first round draft pick whose not ready to play yet.

The network has the Titans ranked just behind the Baltimore Ravens (No. 13) and just ahead of the Houston Texans (No. 15).

NBC Sports (No. 19)

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans come in near the bottom of the list yet again with NBC’s ranking. Their reasoning is based on concerns over Mariota’s ability to stay healthy, and his inconsistent play.

NBC also had praise for the Titans, mentioning that they like the make up of the team with a Mike Vrabel defense and Derrick Henry leading the rushing attack.

The Titans rank just behind the Atlanta Falcons (No. 18), and just ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 20).

Walter Football (No. 23)

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Walter Football has the Titans ranked at No. 23. the lowest of all networks on this list. As the trend continues, they also have concerns around Mariota’s health and inconsistent play. They also referenced the Titans winning four games by four points or fewer last season.

In the list, it was noted that the additions of Roger Saffold and Nate Davis should be improvements to the Titans interior offensive line from last season.

Walter Football has the Titans just behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 22), and just ahead of the Denver Broncos (No. 24). The network predicts the Titans will record their fourth consecutive 9-7 overall record in 2019.
