Emmerdale has gifted us with some iconic characters while remaining one of the most popular soap operas since the 70s.
The actors always leave us on edge with the latest drama on the farm.
Some of those featured have gone on to enjoy roles in films, big budget shows and reality shows, as well as other ventures outside of acting.
We thought we’d take a look at where the stars went next after their time in Emmerdale came to an end.

Adele Silva - Kelly Windsor

Adele played Kelly Windsor between 1993 and 2011 with her appearances in the latter years being cameos.
Since her last return to the village, Adele has had roles in Strippers v Werewolves, Casualty and Hollyoaks while recently you might have spotted her in short films Ménage and Bai Bai Barnet.
The 40-year-old has gone on to have a baby with partner Oliver Farber, and often shares her daily activities as a mum on Instagram.
Andy Devine - Shadrach Dingle

Andy, 78, enjoyed the role of lovable rogue Shadrach Dingle on Emmerdale for 12 years.
He was nominated for The British Soap Award for Best Exit after his alcoholic tendencies led him to die in a river after drinking too much.
The actor had parts in Monroe and Doctors after leaving the ITV soap opera, but on record hasn’t appeared in TV and films since 2011.
Roxanne Pallett - Jo Sugden

Roxanne played Jo for three years on the show and was nominated for several awards.
She went on to appear in several horror films including Lake Placid 3, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort, and Devil's Tower.
The star then went on to appear in numerous reality shows from Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes, Soapstar Superstar, and Dancing On Ice.
But, of course the 38-year-old is now best known for her stint on Celebrity Big Brother House. Roxanne accused former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas of abusing her with a punch, when in fact Big Brother saw that it didn't happen.
She became what she described to Emma Willis as 'the most hated person in Britain' and has kept a low profile.
Roxanne has since told Mail Online that she now doesn't regret 'punch gate' and has shared it with new husband Jason. She said: "'He knows everything, I don't hide anything from him, I'm so transparent."
Billy Hartman - Terry Woods

Undoubtedly, Terry Woods still remains an Emmerdale fan favourite.
Billy Hartman, 63, played the role from 1995 until 2011. After his character was killed off, Billy has appeared in Casualty.
Earlier in his career, the actor starred in Hollywood films Highlander and Slaughter High.
In 2015 he starred in Gypsy at The Savoy Theatre, and in 2019 drama TV drama Keeping Faith.
Jenna Coleman - Jasmine Thomas

Jenna, 34, played Jasmine Thomas for four years, and was nominated for several awards including Most Popular Newcomer, Best Actress, Sexiest Female, and Best Dramatic Performance.
Following her Emmerdale days, the star has had quite the success in roles on Waterloo Road, and Doctor Who.
You may even recognise her from starring as Marie-Andrée Leclerc in this year's hit BBC drama The Serpent.

She has become a Marvel actress starring in Captain America: The First Avenger.
The actress is now best known for playing the lead character of Queen Victoria, in ITV series Victoria.
She often appears on the cover of fashion magazines including Vogue and Tatler.
Kelvin Fletcher - Andy Sugden

Kelvin, 37, started playing Andy Sugden on Emmerdale at the age of just 12, and remained on the show for 20 years.
Following his departure, the actor went on to win the 17th series of Strictly Come Dancing with Oti Mabuse.
He went on to marry fellow actress Elizabeth Marsland, and the pair have a daughter named Marnie.
Fletcher gained an interest in motor racing following a visit to a motor show with his dad in 2012. In 2014, he was invited to take part in the Porshe Supercup support race of the British Grand Prix.
He then signed a contract with Cheverlot Cruze and has entered championships across the globe ever since.
Deena Payne - Viv Hope

Deena, 66, entertained viewers for 18 years on Emmerdale farm until she was unexpectedly axed by producers in 2011.
But, the actress has continued to work in the performance industry, returning to the stage for stints in Calendar Girls and various pantomimes.
She also runs her own dance school offering classes for just £6 to children in North Yorkshire.
Sheree Murphy - Tricia Dingle

Sheree, 45, played Tricia for six years before leaving to spend more time with her family and young children.
She is married to former Leeds United player Harry Kewell, and the pair have four daughters together - Taylor, Matilda, Dolly and Ruby Kewell.
Since the show, Sheree also appeared on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and acted in The Royal and Hollyoaks.
Between 2014 and 2018, Sheree appeared in famous Australian soap opera Neighbours as Dakota Davies.
She often shares what she is up to with her 52.2K Instagram followers.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
